Seller provided misleading information regarding damage on the 2005 Corolla, and a deceptive practice in filling out the bill of sale with information that contradicted verbal representations to the shoppers. Seller finally shows documentation and says that the accident occurred July 6, 2006, with rear-end damage for $4,689. Seller failed to mention the $9708 impact also included in the history report. Seller advertised a Volvo S60 reportedly belonging to his father. Once at the location he had 2 other vehicles for sale, his mother's older BMW (owned for 18 months) and a Volvo S70, his farther's previous vehicle. The seller had originally bought the vehicle for his dad who, curiously, both was leaving the country and driving a new Volvo in Toronto. Seller representations on the Volvo S60: "I bought it from an insurance company. The car was vandalized; it had no accident." APA reports the grill, bumpers and hood were replaced, right side fender, doors and quarter panel repainted. History search on previous owners indicates that a Mr. Slava never owned the vehicle. APA reports the following: both fenders and front bumper replaced; left inner fender apron to the shock tower and radiator and bumper support still damaged; repairs to the body are consistent with a structural frontal impact. History search reveals a recent frontal collision with damages estimated at $8,043
Purchasing procedures: shopper pays one tax should he decide to transfer the ownership directly at the Registry. Roberto would provide the safety & emissions documents. Offsite inspection by buyer's mechanic possible. (Note: curber not calculated in the totals.)

History search on previous owners reveals that as of July 29-09 it was Navarro Sarita M., and before that, Saad & Company, a dealer operating as Platinum Motors. It has since been sold to Michael Magnifico (Sept 19-09). Lots of minor inconsistencies regarding representations; brand new tires (fairly new), family always drives Mercedes (drives X5 & previous car A6), wife's car (says great in snow & later wife says she had not driven in winter). Seller suggests declaring $8000 to save tax. Seller also gave a business card showing he is an agent with Mortgage Brokers of Canada and he was also driving a contractor van at the location.
