No details in ad other than "Vancouver truck,", "All cars come with a warranty." APA Inspection shows fenders, grill, front bumper, hood, driver side doors replaced; tailgate and left side frame rail from firewall to bumper was damaged and repainted. The Tacoma also had a mechanical problem with the drive system during the road test. Seller undertakes to have repair done at a Toyota dealer the next day. Vehicle was never delivered to the dealer that day. CarProof shows a collision in Edmonton on the 2006 Tacoma in the amount of $17,800 cash settlement.

ICBC reports 3 collisions on the Corolla, two of which were appraised at $8,000 and $5,600. The Accord was misrepresented as having no collision, "no anything" and fared better. No structural damage; the fenders, grill, hood were replaced, front doors repainted.

Car Proof indicated 7 collisions, but included details only for 3: $4,700, $5,100, and $2,700. APA inspection shows fenders, grill, bumpers, and hood were replaced, doors & quarter panels repainted, rocker rail left side was repaired with body filler and crack appears to be rusting at factory weld spot. Buyers were told Venture had a "minor accident", "just over $3,000". CarProof shows 1 collision for $3600 on the Venture. Dealer charges a variable $195 DOC fee depending on credit folio. Ad car available (03 Venture). Seller was knowledgeable and provided acceptable disclosure on collision claims.

Misrepresented ICBC claims reporting on newer vehicles, "When a new car get hit just a little bit..ICBC put rebuilt status on it." APA inspection of the Acura shows fenders, grill, bumpers replaced, roof, doors and quarter panels repaired with body filler, the rear and left side rocker rail damaged, and floor/ body twisted. The Accord had some cosmetic repainting. The salesperson was correct in suggesting the buyer look at the better Accord. Dealer charges a $199 DOC fee not indicated in ad. Extra cost warranty available, 6 months 6,000k included. Car in ad available.

Vehicle represented as "mechanically its OK." Dealer willing to do repairs, "Before it goes out, I'll make sure that everything else, like the battery could get changed or charged up." According to dealer " I don't buy any rebuilts or anything with a major accident."The 2000 Golf was not prepared for sale. The hood, fenders & front bumper replaced, front bumper & rad support repaired and doors repainted. The tires were worn, ABS light was flashing, engine light was on, coolant low & battery dead (needed boost to start). The 2002 Jetta was in better condition; front fenders, hood and rear quarter panel repainted. Cost of warranty $350-$2000 depending on coverage.

CarProof indicates that the Jetta had 3 collisions with the most recent collision indicating a total loss. APA inspection shows front frame rails from bumper to firewall damaged and still twisted and shock towers damaged. The fenders, grill, bumpers and hood replaced, roof repainted, & doors and quarter panels repaired with body filler. Salesperson #2 recommended a 2002 Sentra just arrived, same price as the Jetta with 72,000 km, but with "no accident". Sentra a better buy according to seller (correct).

Seller said the Jetta had no accidents, "No, it has not, we'll put that in writing as well," RAV 4?, "One small accident, very small, $3,500. I have the ICBC record of it too. Basically bumper damage for that price, you can't replace a door for that price." Seller shows ICBC report on the RAV 4. APA inspection of the Jetta shows front-end replaced, front doors repainted, front frame rails still damaged, bumper & rad support replaced and welded. The rear door on the RAV 4 was replaced due to a rear hit. Impact to the floor, rear frame rail and tow hook, and the quarter panels were repaired. Dealer advertises, "Buy with confidence. We are a proud member of the Better Business Bureau."

Offsite inspection is permitted. The seller appears to be a form of dealer who sells from his home and charges two sales taxes. No DOC fee. He buys cars, repairs them and then sells them. He has a body shop but does mechanical repairs as well. Had a number of cars parked in the street in front of his home. Failed to advertise he was a dealer. Incorrectly disclosed collision damage on the Sebring as " 2 front doors replaced, and rear left side quarter panel." APA inspection of the Sebring shows fenders, grill, front bumper, hood, 3 doors were replaced, and right front frame rail damaged and repaired, and roof repaired and repainted. Chris affirms he did the repairs, "Did everything.", and bought the car at the auction, "It was damaged." APA inspection of the Focus shows damage as represented. Damage to the G6 "rear repaired, right side rear quarter panel and trunk" was not as represented. Vehicle actually had an out-of-province salvage title, rebuilt in B.C. according to CarProof.

History search reveals Passat is an out-of-province vehicle with a "total loss" claim for $21,063 & another claim for $10,576. APA inspection of the Jetta shows front-end adjusted & repainted, including the 2 front doors, and new brake pads.

"Right corner of fender and bumper cover, in front". Later seller discloses replacement bumper. The APA inspection of RAV 4 shows fenders, front bumper, trunk door replaced, 4 doors and quarter panels repaired & repainted & front frame rail damaged. The Tacoma 4x4 had a rear accident according to seller. APA inspection shows fenders, front bumper, hood replaced, 2 doors repaired & repainted and body filler in an A-pillar. According to the seller the Tacoma 2x4 had no factory warranty due to vehicle theft & recovery. Seller never disclosed that all three vehicles had salvage, rebuilt titles. CarProof reports indicate that the RAV 4 & Tacoma 2x4 both had major collisions where the vehicles were declared total loss, and $26,000 estimated collision damage on the out-of province 4x4 Tacoma.
