Caterpillar C15
engines found in 2007-2009 Kenworth Models T800 and W900L and
Peterbilt Models 379 and 379X
The APA is looking into
reports that some Caterpillar C15 engines installed in 2007 and 2008
Kenworth and Peterbuilt trucks are experiencing failures related to
the catalyst regeneration system. In one case reported to the APA,
a Peterbuilt/Kenworth ABC 18-wheel cab required service to the Diesel
Particulate Filter system approximately every two weeks or 5,0000
km. The truck has been been off the road for repairs a total of 30
days to date, in its first 18 months on the road.

Mazda 3 2004-2006: The APA
has determined that many 2004 and 2005 Mazda 3s have corrosion
problems, notably on the rear fenders where they meet the bumper
cover, the trunk, hatchback and welds where the outer door
skins attach to the inner door. The APA is seeking Mazda 3 corrosion
complaints from consumers whose cars are showing signs of corrosion.

and Sentra): Catalytic converter: recalls for 2002-2003
3.5L models. 1) An exhaust hanger could pick up debris from under
the car, which could catch fire because of heat from the catalytic
converter; adjust. 2) Risk of the catalytic converter becoming
overheated, causing converter substrate to enter the combustion
chambers causing bore wear, excess oil consumption and engine
failure. If Nissan is unwilling to pay for engine repairs, send them
a claim letter by registered mail
