The sole engine offered in the X1 is a Miller-Cycle 2L turbo four, with BMW notes is revised compared to the engine that powered the car last year. Despite the high entry point, buyers need to opt for the Premium Essential package to get expected features such as heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. The Premium Essential package adds a Harman-Kardon audio system, a head up display, a 360 degree camera system and self parking, at a fair price. Metallic paind is an $895 option but genuine alloy or wood cabin trim is priced at $250.
