Chrysler Grand Caravan 2023
The Grand Caravan is powered by FCA’s ubiquitous 3.6L-V6 that sends power to the front wheels via a nine-speed conventional automatic transmission. Chrysler shifted 2714 Grand Caravans last year, small numbers compared with those of the popularly-priced Dodge-branded version of the same nameplate. Towing is not recommended but the manufacturer.
The SXT, the sole trim-line offered, with a power driver’s seat, alloy wheels, power sliding doors and tailgate, heated front seats and steering wheel and an alarm system, is nicely equipped. The Grand Caravan is priced roughly 10 percent less than the Pacifica, but is vastly more expensive than the previous Dodge Grand Caravan which suited the needs of a vast swath of Canadian families at a price most families could manage. The sole option is the Safetytec Package which includes, a forward collision warning, including pedestrians, automated emergency braking, rear parking sonar, navigations and a number of minor items, for just $1495. The Kia Carnival is offered at a lower price point.
New model. Not rated. The Pacifica it is based on is reliable for the first few years, deteriorating after that.
