Jaguar E-Pace 2023

Jaguar’s smallest crossover is very elegant and very Jaguar. Two different instrumentation packages are offered. The standard conventional gauges are placed at the bottom of long tubes. On premium trims, crisply marked TFT gauges face the driver. a large screen at the top of the dash centre stack controls the navigation and audio functions, below which resides a logical three-dial climate controls. The infotainment screen takes some getting used to and is not ideal for in-car use. The cabin is stylish and luxuriously outfitted. Rear seat legroom is similar to that of the BMW X1 and better than the Mercedes GLA. The cargo area is very deep under the window and gains a lot of useful space because of it.
Driven briefly, the turbo four under may not be the smoothest unit at town speeds but it is incredibly engertic; delivering linear urge from idle to the redline. The conventional nine-speed automatic transmission is carefully matched to the engine and is eager to react to driver commands. Steering is direct, accurate and telegraphs significant road information back to the driver. This Jaguar’s ride is firmly compliant and handling is very crisp.

With leather seating, heated front seats and steering wheel, L.E.D. headlights, a Meridian-branded audio system and wireless cellphone charging, the base P250 is nicely equipped. Key options include heated rear seats for $500, a head-up display system and 360 degree camera system at $1100 each.

Not rated insufficient data. Reliability of European luxury cars is seldom up to industry standards for mainstream cars. Extended warranties are available for 2020 and are recommended if you plan to keep the car past the four-year warranty period.
