On vehicles assembled until December 1, 2017 the electrical relay to the engine cooling fan may fail after extended idling, causing the fan to run continuously which could drain the battery. Alternatively, the fan may not come on at all, with the risk of overheating the engine. A more robust relay and related wiring are available at no charge for 10 years/240,000 km under a Customer Satisfaction Program.
